Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan has stated that Dhurandhar is a new step for Indian cinema. Recently, he conveyed a very high admiration for director Aditya Dhar and Ranveer Singh, the leading actor of the film, considering this film as a turning point for Bollywood cinema.
Regarding impact of the film, Saif stated: “It will be before Dhurandhar and after Dhurandhar in Bollywood. It’s up to us whether we wake up or not.” He added that Dhurandhar has broken the traditional filmmaking pattern and set the benchmark for everyone else.
Saif was very much impressed by the soundtrack of the movie, especially the song Shararat. He called it “revolutionary” and said that the song breaks away from the familiar Bollywood formula reflecting a fresh cinematic vision. According to him, both the film and its soundtrack demonstrate the kind of bold experimentation Hindi cinema needs at the moment.
Saif hailed Aditya Dhar for daring to think outside the box and coming up with a project that stands apart from regular masala films. He lauded the director’s ambition as well as execution and congratulated Ranveer Singh for his efforts to bring the story alive on screen.
