It strikes this writer as odd that the Ambani’s, who espouse holding Indian values close to their heart, would make such a song and dance of their wedding, in some cases literally. But such is the high rollers life that travelling to different parts of the world to conduct multiple celebrations might seem utterly commonplace and an extension of their lifestyle. Needless to say, social media users and media folks alike are left agog at this show of wealth and pomp.
Italy and Switzerland will be home to the spectacular soirées on offers. Titled “La Vite E Un Viaggio,” meaning “life is a journey”, the four-day event will be attended by stars from the film industry, business magnates, and global personalities aplenty.
Day 1: A glamorous start in Palermo
The festivities kick off on May 29th in Palermo, Italy. Guests will board the luxury cruise ship for a welcome lunch, dressed in “classic cruise” attire. The same evening, there will be an event titled “Starry Night,” where attendees are expected to dress in western formals.
Day 2: Exploring Rome’s charm
On May 30th, the celebration continues on land in Rome with an event titled “A Roman Holiday”. Attendees are expected to dress in chic tourist outfits. After a day of exploration, they will return to the ship for some relaxation, culminating in a late-night toga party at 1 am.
Day 3: Celebrations on the high seas
May 31st will see the gathering celebrate Baby Veda’s first birthday on the cruise ship. Veda is the second child of Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta. The evening will see guests landing in Cannes, France, for a black-tie event titled “Le Masquerade”. The night will continue with an after-party on the cruise ship.
Day 4: A sweet finale in Portofino
The final day of celebrations, June 1st, will take place in the picturesque town of Portofino, Italy. In the evening, guests will dress for the Italian summer, in line with the theme of “La Dolce Vita.”
