India is taking a decisive leap forward in quantum computing through a landmark partnership between IBM and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). This strategic collaboration is set to transform the country’s quantum landscape by deploying IBM’s cutting-edge 156-qubit Heron processor at the upcoming Quantum Valley Tech Park in Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh. Quantum Valley Tech Park: A National Innovation Engine

Harrick Vin, CTO of TCS, noted that hybrid computing models—combining classical and quantum platforms—are the key to solving computational challenges previously deemed intractable. TCS is actively developing a breakthrough software layer that intelligently distributes computing workloads across CPUs, GPUs, and quantum systems to maximise performance and outcomes.
