Hero Launches First Flex-Fuel Bikes in Delhi

New Delhi: Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari along with Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep singh puri attended the launch of Hero Motocorp’s first flex-fuel motorcycles in New Delhi on Tuesday.

Speaking at the event, Shri Gadkari hailed the launch as a landmark initiative that aligns with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra modi for clean, sustainable, and self-reliant transportation.

The minister highlighted India’s position as the world’s largest two-wheeler market and said the country is well-equipped to lead the global shift toward flex-fuel mobility. He noted that flex-fuel technology has the potential to reduce carbon monoxide emissions by up to 77 percent, decrease dependence on imported fuels, and generate foreign exchange savings of approximately ₹1.44 lakh crore.

Gadkari also emphasized the broader economic and social benefits of the initiative, stating that increased adoption of biofuels would strengthen rural energy security, create greater demand for agricultural produce, support farmers, promote waste-to-wealth projects, and generate new employment opportunities.

The launch of Hero MotoCorp’s flex-fuel motorcycles marks a significant milestone for India’s automotive sector and reflects the growing commitment of industry and government stakeholders toward cleaner mobility solutions, environmental sustainability, and economic growth.
