Flipkart-owned Myntra appoints Sharon Pais as Chief Executive Officer
India’s online fashion retail market is growing quickly, driven by changing consumer preferences, premium brands, and digital shopping. Myntra is a key player in this space, known for its mix of global and Indian brands and tech-driven shopping experience. The company has announced a leadership change, appointing Sharon Pais as its new CEO, succeeded by Nandita Sinha.
A seasoned business leader with nearly two decades of experience, Pais has spent the last several years helping shape Myntra’s strategic direction through leadership roles spanning in finance, business planning, and commercial strategy. Most recently serving as Myntra’s Chief Business Officer between October 2021 and October 2025, she has overseen key business functions including category management, brand partnerships, pricing strategy, and overall commercial performance.
Unlike many external leadership appointments, Sharon Pais brings the advantage of deep institutional knowledge and more than a decade of experience within the Flipkart ecosystem. She steps into the CEO role after most recently leading Flipkart Fashion since November 2025, where she was responsible for driving the group’s fashion business and strengthening its position in one of India’s most competitive retail segments. Having worked closely with brands, sellers, technology teams, and leadership across the Flipkart Group, she brings a holistic view of the business and the credibility to lead large-scale transformation.
From Flipkart’s perspective, the appointment reinforces the group’s long-standing philosophy of nurturing leadership from within. The development also comes at a strategically significant time, as Flipkart prepares for a long-anticipated initial public offering (IPO). In this context, Myntra is expected to play an increasingly important role within the group’s overall portfolio, given its strong positioning in India’s premium online fashion segment and its contribution to user engagement, brand partnerships, and high-frequency commerce. A well-performing Myntra is likely to be a key value driver in Flipkart’s broader equity story as it moves toward public markets.
With Pais at the helm, Myntra is expected to continue strengthening its leadership in online fashion retail, deepen relationships with brands and customers, and accelerate the adoption of technology-led experiences that will define the next chapter of India’s digital fashion ecosystem.
