After a recent revelation of Amitabh Bachchan’s growing investments in real estate in Ayodhya recently astonished everyone, it came out that one of his property deals brought great news with itself.
While speaking about it at the Hindustan Times’ India Next Real Estate Summit 2026, Lodha stated that he was in Australia in 2023 when he got a few missed calls around 3 AM as well as a message saying: “This is Amitabh Bachchan, please call me back when convenient.” Thereupon, Lodha made the call back.
During their conversation, Big B reportedly said, “Main UP se hoon aur mujhe Ayodhya mein land leni hai” (I am from Uttar Pradesh and I want to buy land in Ayodhya). Lodha assured the actor that his team would help him find the right property.
As per Lodha, Bachchan asked him initially about the pricing. He had qualms about revealing the price to the superstar, but eventually, he gave him a quotation of Rs. 15 crore for a piece of land measuring 15,000 square feet in Ayodhya.
Shockingly, the following day he received the entire Rs. 15 crore from Bachchan.
This was one of the first high-value lands that Bachchan invested in Ayodhya after its growth as a significant real estate market following the opening of Ram Mandir. There is a lot of interest in high-end properties as people want to invest a substantial amount of money in Ayodhya.
Later on, in March 2026, Bachchan went on to invest in yet another piece of land in Ayodhya. He invested Rs. 35 crore in 2.67 acres of land in Ayodhya.
The late-night phone call may have lasted only a few minutes, but it ultimately led to one of the most talked-about celebrity real estate deals in recent years, proof that when Amitabh Bachchan makes up his mind, he wastes little time turning plans into reality.
