He was told he couldn’t dance because of a spinal condition, today, he’s Bollywood’s ‘Greek God’

Long before establishing himself as one of Bollywood’s iconic stars, Hrithik Roshan was a shy child who struggled with challenges that few people knew about.
At present, Hrithik is considered one of the best dancers chiselled physique and blockbuster films, but when he was younger, he suffered from a strong stutter that made even simple conversations impossible. Numerous times during various interviews, the actor admitted that he used to avoid answering teachers’ questions in class for fear of being laughed at. He practiced a lot and worked with speech specialists to improve his speech.
Hrithik was diagnosed with scoliosis when he was a teenager. The doctors recommended him to avoid any activity that required physical activity. The conclusion was astounding for the boy who wanted to become an actor.
Instead of surrendering, Hrithik devoted himself to rehabilitation and fitness. After many years of disciplined training, he was finally able to develop the strength and flexibility needed to carry out demanding dance performances and action sequences. This became one of the most stunning motivational stories in Bollywood.
Despite being born into the family of filmmaker Rakesh Roshan, he did not stumble upon his debut. Before getting the lead role in Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai (2000), he learned the ropes of filmmaking as an assistant director. The film was a huge success upon its release, turning Hrithik into a star overnight.
Over the next twenty years, Hrithik made himself among the biggest stars of Bollywood by starring in films like Koi… Mil Gaya, Dhoom 2, Jodhaa Akbar, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, War and Fighter. His fantastic performances and dancing earned him the title “Bollywood’s Greek God.”
