Century Pulp and Paper, a division of Aditya Birla Group, appoints Ajay Gupta as CEO  

Ajay Gupta has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer at Century Pulp and Paper, a leading division of the Aditya Birla Group.  

With over two decades of experience, Ajay Kumar Gupta boasts a remarkable track record in transforming large-scale operations and establishing globally competitive manufacturing facilities. Before joining Century Pulp & Paper, Gupta held the position of Senior President and Unit Head at Grasim Industries Limited in their Pulp & Fibre division.  

He is widely recognized for his expertise in textile manufacturing and business automation, known for driving success and achieving sustainable profitability in his previous roles. 

Gupta’s distinguished career includes leadership positions at APRIL, where he oversaw the development of the world’s largest integrated Greenfield Viscose manufacturing facility, and at Archean Group, where he led the creation of a marine chemical complex in Gujarat. 

His academic credentials are equally impressive, with degrees from prestigious institutions such as BITS Pilani, IIM Bangalore, and INSEAD – The Business School for the World.
