BJP slams Congress for alleged ‘Economic Anarchy’ agenda amid Hindenburg-SEBI row

BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad on Monday launched a scathing attack on the Congress party, accusing it of conspiring to create economic instability in India following the release of the Hindenburg report that targeted SEBI chief Madhabi Puri Buch. Prasad labelled the Congress’s actions as “toolkit” politics, claiming they were designed to destabilize the country’s markets and deter foreign investments.

“After being rebuffed by the people of India, the Congress party and its allies, along with the so-called toolkit gang, are working together to bring about economic anarchy,” Prasad alleged. He pointed out the suspicious timing of the Hindenburg report’s release, which caused market unrest.

Prasad expressed pride in India’s stock market resilience, stating, “I am proud that India’s stock market remains strong even today. Investors do not trust Congress and Hindenburg.” He emphasized that SEBI, under Supreme Court supervision, had already conducted a thorough investigation into previous allegations, dismissing the new claims as baseless.

Adding fuel to the fire, actress-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut joined the fray, calling Rahul Gandhi the “most dangerous man” and accusing him of endorsing the Hindenburg report to destabilize the nation’s security and economy. Ranaut’s fierce critique mirrored the BJP’s broader stance against the Congress, portraying the party as a threat to India’s stability.

As the BJP continues to counter the allegations, the political battle intensifies, with accusations of economic sabotage taking centre stage in the ongoing Hindenburg-Sebi controversy.
