As soon as you embark on your journey in Japan and take the first breath in the land of rising sun, you’ll immediately sense the enchantment and warmth of this remarkable destination. Japan always had its distinctive culture and traditions, so who wouldn’t prefer to experience its splendour.
Japan, known for its weird and age-old culture that simultaneously offers abundant choices from sleepy beaches, mountainside onsens (hot springs) to offbeat cafes, to heritage restaurants serving artful sushi. Japan whispers in-depth history that is still unaffected by outer influence, so if you are visiting Japan, then skip the habitual places and visit places off the beaten path to make it feel like an adventure.
Here are three bizarre places to visit on your next trip to Japan.
Mipig cafe
Mipig is a micro pig house, where all micro pigs from piglets to adult pigs are friendly, live together, and grow old. The breed here is not highly specified and thus acts as a therapy for many, as the piglets are adorable and cute. Here, they have also created this pig house into a cafe as well to make it more in fashion. These mini pigs consider you as their beloved friends and by the time you relax, you might want to hog on some Japanese snacks and drinks, or read books. The cafe has it all, although visitors are restricted to a time limit of 1-2 hours. This themed cafe is present all over Japan in different zones like Harajuku, Fukuoka, Osaka, Kyoto, Hiroshima, and much more with contrasting outlay and interiors, giving a delicate and relax spirit.
Nara Park
Nara Park was established in the year 1880, and this expansive park is inhabited by a multitude of deer that roam around freely. Visitors can purchase deer crackers available throughout the park and some of the deer have even learned to bow as a way of requesting food from visitors. Nara’s deer are surprisingly docile, but they may become assertive if they believe you have food, so it’s important to refrain from teasing them with treats.
Nyotaimori
This an expertise interest followed since years in Japan where they serve authentic Sushi in a classy form. Here, the chefs serve the sushi on naked girls, with sushi placed on leaves to avoid direct contact between skin and food. Respectful behavior is thoroughly considered as guests aren’t allowed to talk to or touch the women under any circumstances.
These 3 represent the tip of the iceberg, and are just a few of the many weird, wacky, and wonderful travel options within Japan, and we’re certain you’ll find many more if you look hard enough. Happy travelling!
