Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was reportedly injured in a shocking robbery attempt at his Bandra (West) residence during the early hours of Thursday, January 16. The alarming incident took place around 2:30 am when an unidentified intruder broke into the actor’s home while he was asleep with his family.
According to police reports, the intruder managed to enter the premises undetected but was confronted by Saif. A scuffle ensued between the actor and the trespasser, during which the intruder allegedly stabbed Saif Ali Khan six times before fleeing the scene. The commotion alerted other family members, who immediately contacted the authorities.
Saif Ali Khan was swiftly rushed to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital, where he is currently undergoing surgery. Hospital staff have confirmed that the actor is out of danger and receiving proper medical care.
The Bandra Police have registered an FIR against the unidentified assailant, and multiple teams have been deployed to apprehend the suspect. Seven teams from the Mumbai Crime Branch have also joined the investigation, with efforts focusing on examining CCTV footage from the vicinity. While three teams are scanning various areas across Mumbai, one team has been dispatched outside the city for further investigation.
Saif’s wife, renowned actress Kareena Kapoor Khan, has reassured the public that her husband is stable and recovering. She also confirmed that their two sons, Taimur Ali Khan (8) and Jeh Ali Khan (4), along with the rest of the family, are safe following the disturbing incident.
The authorities are leaving no stone unturned in their efforts to trace and apprehend the intruder. The shocking event has raised serious concerns about security in high-profile residential areas, sparking widespread reactions from fans and the film fraternity.
