Fake or Incorrect Documents Will Lead to Cancellation of Admission

– CET Cell Issues Strict Directive

Mumbai, August 4: The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has warned that admissions of students found to have submitted incorrect, fake, forged, or misleading documents during the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) for the 2026–27 academic year will be cancelled immediately. Legal action will also be initiated against such candidates in accordance with the prevailing rules. The CET Cell has issued detailed instructions to all participating institutions in this regard.

The Centralised Admission Process is currently underway for various professional undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Students seeking admission under reserved categories such as Orphan, Defence, Persons with Disabilities (PwD), and Minority are required to upload the prescribed supporting documents while submitting their online applications. Merit lists and seat allotments are prepared on the basis of these documents.

The CET Cell has clarified that if any document submitted to claim reservation benefits is found to be false, forged, incorrect, or misleading during verification or at any subsequent stage, the candidate’s admission will be cancelled with immediate effect. Appropriate legal proceedings will also be initiated against the concerned student as per the applicable regulations.

The CET Cell has further directed all admission-granting institutions to verify the original documents of every allotted candidate before confirming admission. Institutions that fail to carry out proper verification and confirm admissions without due scrutiny will also face legal action.

The CET Cell has urged both students and educational institutions to strictly adhere to these guidelines and ensure complete compliance throughout the admission process.
