Congress Alleges Exam Paper Leaks, Rising MSME Closures Under BJP Rule

Mumbai, July 28: Maharashtra Congress President sapkal on Monday alleged that the BJP-led government has failed to conduct recruitment examinations fairly, claiming that after the NEET and TET controversies, the question paper for the MPSC Drug Inspector recruitment examination was also leaked before the test. He said reports suggest the paper was circulated on WhatsApp, raising serious concerns over the integrity of the recruitment process. Sapkal accused the government of jeopardising the future of lakhs of students and demanded strict action against those responsible. He also questioned who was allegedly protecting the paper leak network and warned that continued negligence could trigger widespread public resentment among the youth.

Sapkal further alleged that the BJP government’s claims of industrial growth are misleading, stating that 28,764 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) have shut down in Maharashtra between 2023 and 2026. He attributed the closures to rising production costs, financial constraints, administrative corruption and law-and-order issues, claiming the shutdowns have adversely affected employment opportunities across the state. He also referred to the alleged ₹160-crore Shalarth scam, claiming the arrest of a BJP-linked leader reflected irregularities in the education sector. The BJP has not responded to these specific allegations at the time of writing.
