In a major step towards strengthening India’s semiconductor ecosystem, the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM) under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has launched a new online platform titled “Investors Support” to assist investors and industry stakeholders.
The portal, launched on May 26, 2026, is aimed at improving investor confidence and providing easier access to information related to India’s growing semiconductor sector. It can be accessed through ism.gov.in
Under the Government’s Semicon India Programme, 12 semiconductor fabrication and packaging projects, along with 24 semiconductor design projects, have already been approved as part of efforts to build a resilient, trusted, and sustainable semiconductor ecosystem in the country.
The newly launched portal will provide investors with details on government schemes, policies, approved projects, regulatory requirements, and other investment-related information for those exploring opportunities in India’s semiconductor industry.
A key feature of the platform is its grievance redressal system, which allows investors to register concerns and seek assistance. These issues will be addressed by officials of the India Semiconductor Mission in coordination with nodal officers from ministries, departments, state governments, project companies, and trade associations.
Speaking at the launch event Amitesh kumar Sinha highlighted the importance of investor facilitation and proactive coordination among stakeholders to further strengthen India’s semiconductor manufacturing and design ecosystem.
The portal will function as a secure, role-based, single-window digital interface designed to ensure streamlined coordination and time-bound resolution of investor concerns.
The launch event also featured a detailed walkthrough of the portal’s framework, functionalities, onboarding process, coordination mechanisms, and the responsibilities of nodal officers from participating organisations and government bodies.
