Rift deepens in NCP over committee dispute

Despite “Technical Error” Clarification, Senior Leaders Remain Upset; Merger Speculation Intensifies After Tatkare Sharad Pawar Meeting

Mumbai: Fresh signs of internal conflict have emerged within the Nationalist congress party after controversy erupted over the party’s National Executive Committee list submitted to the Election Commission.

The omission of senior leaders Praful patel, sunil tatkare and chhagan Bhujbal from the official list triggered strong reactions within the party. Although the party later termed it a “technical” or “printing” mistake and restored the names, the incident has sparked widespread speculation about growing unrest within the NCP.

Leaders Express Anger Before Sunetra Pawar

According to sources Sunil Tatkare and Praful Patel directly met Sunetra pawar and voiced their displeasure over the issue. The leaders reportedly questioned how their names were excluded despite their long standing contributions to the party and sought answers on who finalized the executive list.

Sunetra Pawar later issued a clarification on social media late at night in an attempt to contain the controversy. However the episode has reignited debate over dynastic politics and the party’s internal decision making process.

Merger Buzz Adds to Political Uncertainty

The political atmosphere became more charged after claims made by rohit pawar from the Sharad Pawar faction. Rohit Pawar alleged that nearly 22 NCP MLAs, including Sunil Tatkare and Praful Patel are preparing to contest future elections on the symbol of the Bhartiya janta party.

He further claimed that some leaders from the shivsena may also be part of the move potentially leading to a political realignment involving nearly 40 legislators. The claims have intensified speculation over a possible merger or major restructuring within the ruling alliance.

Adding to the intrigue Sunil Tatkare met sharad pawar at his Mumbai residence late Tuesday night. While Tatkare described the meeting as personal political observers believe several key issues including possible merger discussions may have been discussed.

Senior Leaders Continue to Feel Sidelined

Sources indicate that even after corrections were made to the executive list dissatisfaction among several senior leaders continues to simmer. Many party veterans reportedly feel they are no longer being taken into confidence during major decisions.

The controversy has raised broader questions within the party over whether the NCP under Sunetra Pawar’s leadership will function through collective leadership or increasingly move toward family-centric politics.

Political analysts believe that sidelining senior leaders ahead of crucial elections could prove risky for the party. Attention is now focused on whether the ongoing internal tensions will lead to a merger another split or deeper instability within the NCP.
