OTT Picks: The Boys S5 to O’Romeo This Week

There are plenty of great shows and movies out this week to keep your list exciting. The range of content from April 6 to April 12 appears to offer chaos, suspense, drama, and nostalgia. Here’s a quick, no-nonsense summary of what’s available and worth watching:

Tu Yaa Main

  • Release Date: April 10, 2026
  • Platform: Netflix

An intense thriller that involves the survival of two people (Shanaya Kapoor and Adarsh Gourav) trapped in a pool with a crocodile. The movie starts with a collaborative approach; however, it escalates rapidly and becomes a very tense battle for their lives in an intimate, high-stakes situation. This film would be a great selection for your weekend watching.

O’Romeo

  • Release Date: April 10, 2026
  • Platform: Amazon Prime Video

O’Romeo offers an interesting perspective on the underworld and how the city of Mumbai was established after independence. The themes of crime, ambition, and the relation of power are dominant. This film offers more of an atmospheric type of storyline, which would be a better fit for someone looking for an action film.

The Boys – Season 5

  • Release Date: April 8, 2026
  • Platform: Amazon Prime Video

The mayhem returns, and it has now escalated to a new level. With Homelander tightening the grip of the show, the resistance is preparing for a final epic battle. As with Season 4, expect more of the same type of satire, outrageous action, and boundary-pushing story lines; however, I suspect it will have an even bigger impact this season.

Big Mistakes

  • Release Date: April 9, 2026
  • Platform: Netflix

In this crime series, two indifferent siblings get sucked into a life of crime when their ill-judged attempt to fulfill their dying grandmother’s wish by misappropriating property quickly goes awry, and they are subsequently blackmailed.

Euphoria – Season 3

  • Release Date: April 12, 2026
  • Platform: JioHotstar

The wait for Euphoria has been long, and now that Season 3, the Final Series of Euphoria, has arrived, it seems darker and much more intense. Rue and others have all grown up with this time leap, and they are now fully grown adults trying to deal with the mess they created along their way.

Thaai Kizhavi

  • Release Date: April 10, 2026
  • Platform: JioHotstar

Thaai Kizhavi will use rooted narratives combined with emotional context, which, as a combined effect, is often very appealing to an audience looking for a true cultural experience.

Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord

  • Release Date: April 6, 2026
  • Platform: JioHotstar

If you’re a Star Wars fan, then this is a no-brainer. Focusing on Darth Maul, this Star Wars spinoff series will create a darker world around the character of Darth Maul, setting the tone for the Star Wars’ continuing expansion into a universe yet to be explored.

Final Take:

Overall, this week is not about having one fantastic release presented to us. There are multiple releases of various flavoursoffered this week. Therefore, whether it’s high-risk survival (Tu Yaa Main), chaotic superhero drama (The Boys), or high-emotion storytelling (Euphoria), there’s something lined up for every kind of viewer.

Your only real problem? Deciding where to start.
