Contemporary innerwear and shapewear brand Pinq Polka has raised Rs 4 crore in a Pre-Series A led by Inflection Point Ventures (IPV). The capital will be deployed to scale marketing for the brand’s shapewear category, strengthen its team, and support working capital requirements. 

Founded with the vision of building a comfort-first innerwear and shapewear brand for modern Indian women, Pinq Polka has rapidly scaled its presence in the lifestyle and personal wear segment. The brand gained national recognition after its appearance on Shark Tank India Season 4, which significantly accelerated its visibility and growth. 

Over the past three years, the company has recorded nearly 19X growth, with revenue increasing from ₹1.22 crore to ₹20 crore driven by strong consumer demand, product innovation, and a robust international supply chain.

Founded in 2017 by Manveen Ssharma, Pinq Polka was created to address the gap in the innerwear and shapewear industry where comfort, fit, and real-world functionality were often overlooked. Manveen Ssharma, comes with over a decade of experience in marketing, brand building, and consumer engagement. She previously worked with leading organisations, including JSA, gaining extensive experience in marketing and operations. She is supported by Mandeep Singh, Chief Strategist at the company, who brings significant experience in sales and business strategy, having held leadership roles at companies including Pernod Ricard.

India’s lingerie and intimate wear market is witnessing strong growth and is currently valued at Rs 50,000 crore, with projections indicating it could reach ₹90,000 crore by 2030-31. Within this expanding market, shapewear and accessories are expected to contribute nearly 10%, while comfort wear could account for close to 20%, reflecting changing consumer preferences toward comfort-focused lifestyle products. The growth of this category is driven by increasing awareness about fit and wellness, rising disposable incomes, and evolving consumer attitudes toward innerwear and personal comfort.
