Actor Vikrant Massey, known for his remarkable performances, has stunned fans with the announcement of his retirement from acting. At 37, the actor revealed that he will step away from the spotlight after 2025, despite enjoying immense professional success. His latest release, Sabarmati Report, comes on the heels of critical acclaim for 12th Fail and Sector 36.
In a heartfelt Instagram note, Vikrant expressed gratitude for his journey and shared his reasons for stepping back. “The last few years and beyond have been phenomenal. I thank each and every one of you for your indelible support. But as I move forward, I realise it’s time to recalibrate and go back home as a Husband, Father & a Son. And also as an Actor.”
Currently, Vikrant is working on two final projects, Yaar Jigri and Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, which he promises will be a memorable farewell to his fans. Addressing his upcoming retirement, he wrote, “So, coming 2025, we would meet each other for one last time. Until time deems right. Last two movies and many years of memories. Thank you again. For everything and everything in between. Forever indebted.”
Vikrant began his career on television with Dhoom Machao Dhoom before gaining recognition in Balika Vadhu in 2009. His Bollywood debut came with Lootera in 2013, but it was A Death in the Gunj (2017) that established him as a lead actor. Since then, he has delivered notable performances in Ginny Weds Sunny, Haseen Dilruba, Love Hostel, and 12th Fail.
