In a heartwarming event that underscored their commitment to community service, Nita and Mukesh Ambani hosted a mass wedding ceremony for over 50 underprivileged couples ahead of their son Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding. The event took place at the Reliance Corporate Park (RCP) in Navi Mumbai, bringing joy and celebration to 50 couples from the Palghar area.

The mass wedding ceremony saw a turnout of over 800 attendees, including family members of the brides and grooms, local social workers, and members of the community. The event was further graced by the presence of Nita and Mukesh Ambani, along with Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta, as well as Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal. Following the ceremonial vows, a grand dinner was organized for the guests, ensuring the celebrations continued into the night.

In a gesture of goodwill, each couple was presented with gold ornaments, including mangalsutras, wedding rings, and nose rings. They also received silver items such as toe rings and anklets. Each bride was gifted a cheque of Rs 1,00,001 lakh as her ‘streedhan,’ symbolizing financial security and support.

Moreover, the couples were provided with groceries and household items sufficient for a year, including 36 essential items, utensils, appliances like a gas stove, mixer, and fan, as well as a mattress and pillows. This generous support aims to help the newlyweds start their married life with ease.

Adding to the cultural richness of the event, guests were treated to the traditional Tarpa Dance performed by the indigenous Warli Tribe. This invitation to witness and partake in the dance highlighted the Ambani family’s dedication to preserving and promoting local cultural heritage.

The mass wedding is part of the pre-wedding celebrations for Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, who are set to tie the knot on July 12 in Mumbai.
