Innovation is the successful commercialization of either an idea or an invention that must provide a benefit. Essentially, it must address a consumer’s problem. If it doesn’t solve a consumer’s problem, no matter how exceptional your invention is, you will never be able to commercialize it. And that undermines the entire endeavor.
