Prime Minister Narendra Modi Urges Newly Appointed Government Employees to Embrace Lifelong Learning and Public Service

Prime Minister Narendra modi stressed the importance of continuous preparation and skill development to keep pace with India’s rapidly evolving economy while addressing newly appointed government employees during a Rozgar Mela event. He underlined that the government is consistently focusing on industry-linked education, future technologies, and skill enhancement to prepare the youth for emerging opportunities.

Highlighting India’s remarkable entrepreneurial growth, the Prime Minister said the country has emerged as the world’s third-largest startup ecosystem, with more than 2.3 lakh recognised startups. He noted that the startup revolution is no longer limited to metropolitan cities, as young entrepreneurs from Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities are increasingly contributing to innovation and economic growth across the nation.

Modi also praised the growing participation of women in entrepreneurship and self-employment. Referring to initiatives such as the Mudra Yojana and the PM SVANidhi scheme, he said these programmes have empowered crores of women financially and encouraged self-reliance. The Prime Minister observed that women in villages and small towns are now confidently launching their own ventures, contributing significantly to the country’s economic transformation.

Addressing the newly recruited employees directly, the Prime Minister emphasised that the real strength of any institution lies in its people. He reminded them that government service is fundamentally about improving the lives of citizens and making governance more accessible and efficient. Modi said the behaviour, empathy, and working style of every government employee play a crucial role in strengthening public trust.

Calling upon the new recruits to act as dedicated “Karmayogis,” the Prime Minister urged them to understand the aspirations of the people and align their work with the nation’s development goals. He encouraged them to continuously upgrade their knowledge and adapt to evolving technologies and systems.

The Prime Minister also highlighted the significance of the iGOT Karmayogi platform and the Karmayogi Prarambh module as effective tools for learning and professional growth. Concluding his address, expressed confidence that the energy and dedication of India’s youth would accelerate the journey towards a “Viksit Bharat” and strengthen the nation’s future through committed public service.
