Nagpur to Get World-Class Convention and Exhibition Centre by 2029: CM Devendra Fadnavis

Mumbai, July 30: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has directed officials to plan for the completion and operationalisation of a world-class, multi-purpose Convention and Exhibition Centre in Nagpur by 2029. The project is expected to boost the city’s economy, tourism, industries, and employment opportunities while positioning Nagpur as a major destination for national and international conferences, exhibitions, and business events.

Chairing a review meeting at Sahyadri Guest House, the Chief Minister said the project would be developed in line with the urban development plan for the Nagpur airport area, with seamless road, rail, and air connectivity. He emphasised that the centre should become not only a business hub but also a cultural landmark for the city.

Fadnavis directed that the design should feature modern architecture, advanced technology, energy-efficient systems, green building practices, and environmentally sustainable solutions. He also stressed developing the project as a hub for skill development in hospitality, media, event management, tourism, and allied services.

The Chief Minister instructed officials to complete all related processes, including land transfer, tenders, construction, and approvals, within the stipulated timeline to ensure the project becomes operational by 2029.
