There’s plenty to give your week a boost if your plans include bingeing streaming networks at home over the weekend. Between March 9 and March 15, there’ll be a mix of returning fan favourites and new releases across all the streaming services, including Netflix, Prime Video, and JioHotstar.

Many of the shows listed below are returning after extended hiatuses. The high anticipation of each episodic series adds an element to its appeal. Here are some of the most interesting OTT releases to add to your watchlist this week.

Aspirants season 3

If there was ever such a thing as a ‘must-see’ television drama in India, it would be Amit Masurkar’s web series, Aspirants. Finally, this long-awaited series is returning with Season 3 of Aspirants. The story will continue with Abhilash, SK, and Guri (the three main characters) as they continue their journey through the challenges of their UPSC exam preparation to their respective careers as successful IAS officers. The storyline for Season 3 promises great emotional depth, relatable challenges, and many of the same friendships from previous seasons. Premiering on Prime Video on March 13.

One Piece season 2

One of the most popular live-action adaptations, One Piece, returns with its second season. The new chapter follows Monkey D. Luffy and his Straw Hat as they continue their journey to the Grand Line while sailing on a ship filled with hilarious characters who will experience every adventure imaginable. The second season continues the global phenomenon that started with One Piece in 1999.

Zootopia 2

Zootopia returns once again with the animated film featuring Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde, continuing to follow their lives in a vibrant city filled with talking animals. This animated sequel features many of the same comedic elements from the original movie while introducing new and exciting adventures to entertain audiences, young and old.

Virgin River season 7

Netflix has released another season of its hit romantic drama series Virgin River, which chronicles the life, love, and family of Mel and Jack as they deal with everyday life in an otherwise calm and complicated hometown. With many heartwarming stories and many loyal viewers, season seven promises to be full of drama, love, and unpredictable surprises.

Made In Korea

The drama Made In Korea (available now) explores identity, ambition, and belonging, while also showing how cultural narrative and storytelling can uniquely be combined to create one of the more unique releases on streaming this week.

Rooster

For those looking for something lighter, Rooster offers a mix of comedy and drama about the dysfunctional relationship between a father and daughter who work together at a college. This drama/comedy has many humorous situations and family dynamics.

Scarpetta

Also delving into crime stories is Scarpetta. The crime drama is based on bestselling author Patricia Cornwell’s books about a forensic pathologist solving complex cases and fighting through the struggles of her personal life. The drama and mystery surrounding the investigation are very intriguing.

A week packed with options

Whether you want a drama series that is powerful, an emotional Indian series, animation, and/or a hit movie with global distribution, this week’s multi-media streaming schedule has something for every mood. Plus, you can have “Aspirants”, Zootopia 2, and One Piece added to your binge list for the weekend.
