Amazon Prime Video has given the green light to ‘Beast Games,’ an upcoming reality competition led by YouTube personality MrBeast also known as Jimmy Donaldson.
The show, inspired by his successful YouTube series, will feature a staggering 1000 contestants competing for $5 million cash prize, making it the “biggest reality competition series ever,” according to Amazon Prime. MrBeast will serve as both the host and executive producer, with the highly anticipated series set for exclusive release on Prime Video, reaching audiences in over 200 countries and territories worldwide.
Jennifer Salke, the head of Amazon MGM Studios, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration. “MrBeast has captured the attention and imagination of fans of all ages, from all walks of life, and all over the world. We are excited to work with Jimmy and his talented team to bring his brilliant, high production, and stakes-raising concepts to Beast Games for our global customers to experience.”
MrBeast himself weighed in with his thoughts ahead of the show hitting the platform, saying, “My goal is to make the greatest show possible and prove YouTubers and creators can succeed on other platforms. Amazon gave me the creative control I need to try and make it happen. I hope to make the YouTube community proud.”
MrBeast, has gained acclaim for his engaging content and generous efforts. His YouTube channel, with over 244 million subscribers, has propelled him to international fame, making him the most subscribed YouTube creator globally.
Beyond his online presence, Donaldson is the founder of Feastables, a growing snack brand, and a co-creator of charitable initiatives such as TeamTrees and TeamSeas, raising millions for environmental causes. His achievements have earned him numerous awards, including four consecutive Streamy Awards for Creator of the Year and multiple Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.
