Sanjiv Kapoor, the CEO-designate of the grounded airline Jet Airways, has resigned from the company. Kapoor will leave the company on Monday, said Jalan Kalrock Consortium (JKC), which is all set to take over ownership of the airlines. It added the executive committee will oversee the responsibilities until a replacement is in place.
Jet Airways ceased operations in 2019 due to financial difficulties. Sanjiv Kapoor was appointed to serve as CEO-designate until the lenders transfer control of the airline to a consortium led by Dubai-based Murari Lal Jalan and the United Kingdom’s Kalrock Capital.
