Amazon founder Jeff Bezos has once again become the world’s richest person, surpassing Elon Musk and reclaiming the top spot on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index for the first time since late 2021. Bezos’ net worth reached $200 billion on Monday, according to Bloomberg, while Musk’s wealth was $198 billion and LVMH chief Bernard Arnault’s was $197 billion.
Bezos’ wealth is largely attributed to Amazon, the e-commerce giant he founded in 1994 from his garage in the Seattle area. He has also ventured into space exploration with his company Blue Origin and acquired the Washington Post for $250 million.
