Sanjay Gupta, currently the head of Google India, has been appointed as the new President of Google APAC. He takes over from Scott Beaumont, who is set to retire from Google at the end of the year after nearly 16 years with the company.

On LinkedIn, Sanjay shared his enthusiasm for his new role, stating, “Starting as Google’s APAC President, I’m reminded of the significant role we play as enablers. The APAC region is not just another area; it’s the epicenter of global growth and innovation, home to half of the world’s population, and primed to lead the tech revolution.”

Sanjay expressed gratitude to the leadership team and his Indian colleagues for their dedication and enthusiasm. He will be moving to Singapore in the coming months, and Google will soon initiate the search for a new leader for its India operations.
