Ultraviolette, the Bengaluru-based electric vehicle manufacturer, is making a bold move into the mass-market segment with the launch of two new electric models: the Tesseract scooter and the Shockwave enduro motorcycle. The company aims to expand its footprint in India’s growing EV space, offering more affordable options to cater to a broader audience.

The Ultraviolette Tesseract is the brand’s first electric scooter, introduced at an introductory price of Rs. 1.20 lakh (ex-showroom) for the first 10,000 customers. Staying true to the company’s aviation-inspired design philosophy, the Tesseract features sharp, aggressive styling with a floating DRL setup and dual LED projector headlamps. Its overall aesthetic is influenced by combat helicopters, ensuring a distinctive and futuristic look.
Available in three paint schemes—Desert, Stealth Black, and Sonic Pink—the Tesseract is packed with cutting-edge features. It comes equipped with a 7-inch TFT touchscreen, onboard navigation, 34-litre under seat storage, ride analytics, and 14-inch wheels. For enhanced safety, the scooter boasts front and rear RADAR technology, blind spot monitoring, collision avoidance, lane change assist, overtake alerts, and an integrated dashcam with haptic feedback on the handlebars.
Tesseract Performance and Range
The Tesseract is powered by an electric motor delivering 20 hp, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 80 kmph in just 2.9 seconds. It boasts an IDC range of 261 km per charge and reaches a top speed of 125 kmph, making it one of the most powerful scooters in its segment.
Shockwave Enduro Bike: A Game-Changer for Off-Road Enthusiasts
Alongside the Tesseract, Ultraviolette has also unveiled the Shockwave, India’s first electric enduro motorcycle, at an introductory price of Rs. 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom) for the first 1,000 buyers. The Shockwave is designed to cater to adventure seekers and off-road enthusiasts, featuring a slim yet rugged design with a high-beak front, vertically stacked dual-projector LED headlights, and a raised handlebar for superior manoeuvrability.
The bike is available in two striking color options—Electric Yellow with Black and White with Red—enhancing its sporty appeal. Weighing just 120 kg, the Shockwave is a lightweight yet powerful machine, ensuring excellent performance on both roads and trails.
Shockwave Performance and Range
The electric motor in the Shockwave generates 14 hp, propelling the bike from 0 to 60 kmph in 2.9 seconds. It has an IDC range of 165 km per charge and can hit a top speed of 120 kmph, making it a compelling option for urban riders and off-road explorers alike.
Ultraviolette’s Future Plans: Expanding the EV Portfolio
During the launch event, Ultraviolette outlined its ambitious expansion plans for the next three years. The Tesseract belongs to the company’s new S series, while the Shockwave is part of the L series. The company also plans to introduce models under the X series and B series, with the L series focusing on urban sportier bikes and the B series potentially targeting the power cruiser segment.
With the F77, Ultraviolette established itself as a premium electric vehicle brand. Now, with the Tesseract and Shockwave, the company is stepping into the volume-driven market, aiming for widespread adoption. Additionally, Ultraviolette plans to expand its SuperNova charging network and enter European markets in the near future.
Looking ahead, Ultraviolette is expected to introduce more powerful variants of both the Tesseract and Shockwave next year, likely at higher price points. As production for these models gears up for Q1 2026, it will be interesting to see if the company can maintain competitive pricing and scale efficiently in the evolving EV market.
With these new launches, Ultraviolette is making a strong statement—bringing innovation, performance, and accessibility to India’s electric two-wheeler segment.
