Vivo is gearing up to introduce its latest smartphone, the Vivo T4 5G, in India as the successor to the Vivo T3 5G, which debuted in March 2024. According to reports, the device is expected to launch in April and fall within the price range of Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 25,000. With significant upgrades, including a powerful Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset and a massive 7,300mAh battery, the Vivo T4 5G is shaping up to be a strong contender in the affordable smartphone segment.

Vivo T4 5G: Expected Price and Launch Details

According to a report from 91Mobiles citing tipster Yogesh Brar, the Vivo T4 5G could be officially announced in April. The brand is expected to begin teasing the smartphone soon. The device is rumored to be available in three configurations: 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 256GB.

For comparison, the Vivo T3 5G launched in India with prices of Rs. 19,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant and Rs. 21,999 for the 8GB + 256GB model.

Key Features and Specifications (Expected)

One of the most talked-about features of the Vivo T4 5G is its 7,300mAh battery, which would make it the largest battery ever seen in an Indian smartphone. This is a significant upgrade over the 5,000mAh battery in the Vivo T3 and the 4,500mAh battery in the Vivo T2. Vivo has reportedly collaborated with research firm Counterpoint to support its claim of having the biggest smartphone battery in India. Additionally, the handset is expected to support 90W wired fast charging, doubling the 44W charging speed of the T3.

The smartphone is likely to sport a 6.67-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED quad-curved display with a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth visuals. The display will feature a centrally placed hole-punch cutout for the front camera.

Under the hood, the Vivo T4 5G is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor, a shift from the MediaTek chipset used in its predecessor, the Vivo T3 5G. This upgrade should enhance the phone’s overall performance and efficiency. The phone will run on Android 15-based Funtouch OS 15 out of the box.

Camera and Design

For photography, the Vivo T4 5G will likely feature a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 primary sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), along with a 2-megapixel secondary sensor on the back. For selfies and video calls, the handset may sport a 32-megapixel front camera, a significant upgrade from the 16-megapixel sensor on the Vivo T3.

In terms of design, leaked images and teasers suggest a sleek and modern look, with rounded edges and a dark turquoise color option. The phone is expected to have an 8.1mm thickness and weigh 195g, making it relatively lightweight despite the large battery. Additional features may include an in-display fingerprint sensor and an IR blaster for controlling home appliances like TVs.

Final Thoughts: What to Expect?

With its massive battery, upgraded processor, and improved cameras, the Vivo T4 5G appears to be a significant step up from its predecessor. While an official launch date has yet to be announced, leaks suggest the device could arrive in April 2024. Given its expected price range of Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 25,000, the Vivo T4 5G could offer excellent value for users looking for long-lasting battery life and solid performance. More details should emerge as Vivo begins its official promotions in the coming weeks.
