The highly anticipated Nothing Phone 3a series is set to debut on March 4, 2025. Led by Carl Pei, Nothing will introduce two models: the Nothing Phone 3a and Nothing Phone 3a Pro. Interestingly, the company appears to be skipping a “Plus” variant, leaving fans speculating about the fate of the series. Let’s dive into everything we know so far about these upcoming smartphones.

The Nothing Phone 3a is expected to feature a 6.8-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Meanwhile, both the Phone 3a & 3a Pro are rumoured to have a 6.77-inch AMOLED panel with Panda Glass protection and an impressive 3,000 nits peak brightness.

Unlike previous models that used MediaTek’s Dimensity processors, the Nothing Phone 3a lineup will be powered by Qualcomm chipsets. Reports suggest that the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 SoC will drive both models, delivering 25% faster CPU performance and a 72% improved Neural Processing Unit (NPU) speed. Both phones will run NothingOS 3.1, based on Android 15, and feature the brand’s signature Glyph Interface.

The Nothing Phone 3a is expected to sport a triple-camera setup, including a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. For selfies, it is rumoured to feature a 32MP front-facing camera. The Nothing Phone 3a Pro, however, will have an upgraded camera system, featuring a 50MP primary sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom & 60x digital zoom, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP high-resolution selfie camera.

Both models are rumoured to house a 5,000mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging. In terms of pricing, leaks suggest that the Nothing Phone 3a will start at EUR 349 (~₹31,600) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant and EUR 399 (~₹36,100) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage option. Meanwhile, the Nothing Phone 3a Pro is expected to be priced at EUR 479 (~₹43,400) for its 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model.

Nothing has also teased the Phone 3a Pro’s design, revealing a circular rear camera module with three Glyph LEDs. The phone features a periscope shooter, suggesting that this is the Pro model. Both variants will come with a glass back panel, giving them a premium look and feel.

In a teaser video, Nothing hinted at the upcoming Nothing Phone 3, which could launch later in 2025. Alongside the Phone 3a series, a blurred-out third device was spotted, fueling speculation about Nothing’s next flagship smartphone.

With significant performance upgrades, enhanced cameras, and a refined design, the Nothing Phone 3a series is shaping up to be a major release. With the March 4 launch date confirmed, fans won’t have to wait much longer to see if Nothing truly delivers on the hype.
