Kingpins Kapil Dahiya and Bijendra Kumar Named as Masterminds; Special Police Teams Dispatched Across Borders for Drastic Crackdown

MUMBAI, JUNE 29: The investigation into the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) paper leak case in Maharashtra has revealed that the roots of the malpractice extend far beyond the state, stretching directly into parts of North India. Investigative agencies have now disclosed the names of two major suspects orchestrating the racket who are currently on the run. The fugitives have been identified as Kapil Dahiya from Haryana and Bijendra Kumar from Bihar. In a bid to apprehend them, the police have launched coordinated raids across state borders.

Discovery of an Inter-State Network

During the ongoing probe, law enforcement agencies uncovered vital clues pointing toward the involvement of inter-state gangs. This extensive network came to light following a technical analysis of the preliminary data gathered during a recent raid in Bhiwandi, located in the Thane district, which had emerged as the epicenter of the paper leak. Certain syndicates operating out of Haryana and Bihar have historically been active in compromising various competitive examinations across the country and leaking contents digitally. It is strongly suspected that Kapil Dahiya (Haryana) and Bijendra Kumar (Bihar), with the assistance of local agents in Maharashtra, managed to acquire the confidential question papers and answer keys prior to the scheduled examination.

Intensive Manhunt and Technical Surveillance

According to sources within the investigative agencies, special police teams have been immediately dispatched to Haryana and Bihar to track down the two primary suspects. Given that the accused are seasoned operatives, they are frequently changing their hideouts and mobile locations to evade capture. To counter this, the cyber cell has been roped in to gather precise technical intelligence and map their movements. Furthermore, close coordination is being maintained with local police departments in Haryana and Bihar, and suspected locations are under strict surveillance based on intelligence inputs.

Links to Other Accomplices Under the Scanner

Police officials noted that while Kapil Dahiya and Bijendra Kumar are crucial links in this network, a thorough investigation is underway to determine if they received inside assistance from within the Maharashtra State Council of Examination or from the printing and distribution echelons. Several local agents and coaching class owners within Maharashtra who are suspected of being linked to this racket have also been placed on the police radar.
