MP Ravindra Waikar Responds to PM Modi’s ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Campaign

100-Foot National Flag to Be Hoisted at Matoshri Arts and Sports Club in Mumbai

Mumbai, August 11: Responding to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call to strengthen the spirit of patriotism among citizens and the younger generation through the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, Mumbai North West Lok Sabha MP Ravindra Waikar has taken the initiative to install a 100-foot-tall national flag at the Matoshri Arts and Sports Club on Jogeshwari-Vikhroli Link Road.

The national flag will be accorded a ceremonial salute on August 15, 2026, at 9:15 am, in the presence of police personnel, prominent personalities from various fields and local residents. MP Ravindra Waikar will lead the flag-hoisting ceremony.

As part of the Independence Day celebrations, serving and former personnel of the Army, Navy and Air Force residing in the Mumbai North West Lok Sabha constituency will also be felicitated in recognition of their invaluable contribution and service to the nation.

Earlier, at 8 am, a ceremonial salute will be offered to the 50-foot national flag installed at Shyamnagar Lake.

Organisers have appealed to citizens from the area to participate in large numbers and pay tribute to the nation and its brave soldiers.
