The Government of India reviewed the progress of major infrastructure and industrial projects worth around ₹25.17 lakh crore under the PAIMANA monitoring framework during April 2026. The review covered key sectors including coal, steel, metals, mining, railways, roads, power, housing and urban affairs, petroleum and natural gas, and industrial development.
Nine Major Projects Commissioned
During April 2026, nine major projects were commissioned across sectors such as Housing & Urban Affairs, Railways, Power, Road Transport & Highways, and Labour & Employment.
Key projects completed include:
The ₹758.4 crore flyover project on the Nagpur–Raipur Road corridor from Pardi Octroi Naka to Itwari under the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways. The project includes a road overbridge, service roads, footpaths, and RCC drainage infrastructure.
The ₹688.74 crore transmission system for evacuation of renewable energy power from Rajasthan Renewable Energy Zone under Phase-III Part E1, developed by the Ministry of Power.
The ₹362.31 crore Jabalpur Sewerage Management and Treatment Infrastructure Project under the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs.
Fifty-Five New Projects Added for Monitoring
A total of 55 new projects were brought under PAIMANA monitoring during April 2026. These projects belong to the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Power, Department for Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Ministry of Coal, Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs, and the Department of Higher Education.
Major new additions include:
The ₹15,611 crore Bangalore Metro Rail Project – Phase 3 under the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs.
The ₹14,105.83 crore Kalai-II Hydro Electric Project (1200 MW) under the Ministry of Power.
The ₹2,360 crore Development of Zaheerabad Node under the Hyderabad–Nagpur Industrial Corridor under the Department for Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade.
The government said these projects are expected to boost infrastructure development, urban connectivity, renewable energy capacity, industrial growth, and economic activity across the country.
