Government on High Alert for 80th Independence Day; Tight Security Ring at Mantralaya

Mumbai, August 10: As India prepares to celebrate its 80th Independence Day in a few days, anti-national elements and terrorist organizations traditionally attempt to cast a shadow over this historic national occasion. Anti-national forces troubled by India’s growing global stature and rising strength frequently plot to disrupt peace ahead of Independence Day. However, the central and state governments, along with all security agencies, have been placed on high alert to neutralize any potential security threats.

With the Chief Minister scheduled to unfurl the National Flag at Mantralaya in Mumbai on August 15, the state government has issued strict security directives. To prevent any untoward incident, orders have been issued to securely close and seal all windows and rooms in both the Mantralaya and New Administrative Buildings immediately after office hours on August 14. Officials have emphasized that no negligence regarding security protocols will be tolerated.

Department heads have been instructed to immediately report any suspicious movement or object to the Mantralaya Security Control Room. Strict guidelines mandate that every officer and employee conduct a physical inspection of their premises before leaving offices on the eve of Independence Day. Security forces and police personnel remain on round-the-clock vigilant watch to safeguard the national celebrations and thwart any subversive plots.
