First Selection List for MBBS-BDS Admissions Released in Maharashtra

Candidates must confirm their seats by September 4

Mumbai, August 31: The State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell, Maharashtra, released the first Centralized Admission Process (CAP) allotment list for medical MBBS and BDS courses for the academic year 2026–27 on Sunday. Out of 10,646 available seats under the state quota across both courses, 10,509 students have been allotted seats in the first round.

In the first allotment round, admissions were granted for 8,065 seats out of 8,129 available MBBS seats, while 2,444 students received allotments out of 2,517 available BDS seats. Across both courses, 137 seats remain vacant. Specifically, 64 MBBS seats in the Persons with Disabilities (PwD) and orphan categories, along with 73 BDS seats in the same categories, remained unfilled in this initial round.

Students allotted colleges in the first round must physically report to their respective institutions between August 31 and September 4, 2026, by 5:30 PM to confirm their admissions. Candidates are required to submit all original documents along with a Demand Draft (DD) for the admission fees.

In the event of a bank holiday, payment via cheque will be permitted; however, candidates must replace the cheque with a Demand Draft on the next working day. Failure to submit the Demand Draft within the stipulated deadline may lead to the cancellation of the candidate’s admission. The State CET Cell has appealed to all allotted candidates to complete the document verification and formal admission process within the specified timeframe.
