- State Government Issues Crucial Directive
Mumbai, July 15
The Maharashtra State Government has issued a significant directive mandating the celebration of the birth anniversary of the late Ajit Pawar across all government, semi-government offices, schools, and colleges in the state. Under this new decision, his name has been officially added to the state’s list of designated birth anniversaries of national icons and illustrious personalities to be commemorated in the year 2026.
According to the official circular, the anniversary programs will be organized statewide on the upcoming Wednesday, July 22, 2026. On this day, all respective offices and educational institutions will pay tribute by offering floral garlands to his portrait. The commemorations are to be held at every administrative level, spanning from the state ministry (Mantralaya) down to the village-level offices.
To ensure effective statewide implementation of this decision, all divisional commissioners and district collectors have been instructed to issue the necessary guidelines within their respective jurisdictions. Notably, this circular is not limited to government administrative bodies but is also legally binding on all recognized schools and colleges across Maharashtra.
