Experian elevates Nidhi Arora to country HR head
Experian has elevated Nidhi Arora to the position of country HR head, giving her broader responsibility for the company’s human resources function in India. Arora has been with the global data and technology company since October 2022, when she joined as human resources director for its Global Innovation Centre. She was promoted to head of HR in April 2023.
The move gives Arora a larger role at a time when HR leadership is increasingly being shaped by the intersection of technology, talent, employee experience, and organisational transformation.
Arora brings more than two decades of experience in human resources. She began her career as an HR generalist in 2001 and joined Oracle as an HR manager in 2006. She subsequently spent more than five years with NCR Corporation as HR business partner, APAC, where she worked on establishing a new R&D facility in Pondicherry and setting up Hyderabad as a software development centre for the emerging market region.
In 2012, Arora moved to S&P Global as deputy director, HR. She was later promoted to head of HR, India, supporting the company’s operations across Hyderabad, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, and Gurgaon. In 2020, she joined HSBC as head of HR, based in Hyderabad, before moving to Experian two years later.
At Experian, her responsibilities have included talent development, HR strategy, people processes, performance management, and employee engagement. Her new mandate will build on that experience, with a broader focus on strengthening the organisation’s talent pipeline and supporting business growth.
The appointment also comes against the backdrop of Experian India’s growing emphasis on workplace culture. Arora’s elevation therefore places her at the centre of an important organisational task: ensuring that Experian’s culture and people practices can scale alongside its business and technology ambitions.
Her experience working across global organisations, influencing stakeholders across geographies, and building high-performing teams is likely to be particularly relevant as Experian continues to develop its India workforce. The company describes its India HR leadership mandate as spanning talent attraction and development, employee engagement, performance, learning, organisational effectiveness, and creating an engaging workplace.
For Arora, the elevation represents the next step in a career that has consistently combined HR leadership with business transformation.
