Toaster, Matka King & more: What to watch on OTT this week 

Every week on OTT feels like a quiet reset button for entertainment lovers. One moment you’re catching up on what you missed, and the next, your watchlist is suddenly longer than your weekend. The week of April 13–19, 2026, will be a perfect week: full of returning global hits, new international dramas, and a couple of Indian titles that are already being talked about before they even come out. 

From the much-talked-about Matka King to entertaining dramas like Toaster, as well as emotionally driven dramas like Margo’s Got Money Troubles, this week doesn’t really give you space to breathe. 1. Toaster

Toaster is a new comedy-drama with an offbeat premise. It blends absurd comedy with chaotic emotions found in everyday life. Starring Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra, the premise involves ordinary people whose lives are overturned by some type of calamity, putting the characters in situations that are at once relatable and absurd. It’s one of those titles that leans heavily on tone and execution rather than plot spectacle. 

2. Matka King

Matka King​ is set against the backdrop of India’s gambling scene by focusing on the ambitions of one man, the corruption and power involved, and how his entry into the illegal attention of gambling is changing everything around him. The show’s narrative style is gritty, focusing on issues such as greed, risk, and the cost of survival in a morally ambiguous society. 

3. Margo’s Got Money Troubles 

April 15, 2026 

Apple TV+ 

This series, starring Elle Fanning, looks at Margo’s journey of trying to re-establish herself amidst money issues, unplanned motherhood, and the unconventional decisions she makes throughout her life. This series is funny yet full of emotion, and it does a great job of showing what it is like to be an adult in the middle of a chaotic state without romanticizing it. 

4. Alpha Males Season 5 

April 17, 2026

This long-running comedy-drama returns for season 5, where it continues following four friends through their changing relationships, ageing, and how they identify themselves. Season 5 will also reportedly focus more on actual feelings than before, while maintaining a light feel with a conversational tone. 

5. Roommates 

April 17, 2026 
Netflix 

A modern-day comedy movie about two college roommates whose friendship goes from something as simple as being there for each other to something that is complicated and full of weirdness, love, confusion, and emotional attachment. Although it starts out with a little chaos, the ending shows what it means to grow up, as well as when to grow on or off of people. 

6. Assi 

April 17, 2026 

ZEE5 

Anubhav Sinha directs Taapsee Pannu in this dramatic courtroom film featuring a lawyer representing a victim of gang rape in Delhi. This film represents an important case against gender-based violence. It is a tough watch, but a necessary one. 

7. Do Deewane Seher Mein 

April 17, 2026 

Netflix 

This ‘rom-com’ features Siddhant Chaturvedi & Mrunal Thakur as two individuals seeking to connect with each other while also dealing with their respective insecurities. 

This week’s OTT lineup is a mix of extremes, stylised chaos, grounded storytelling, dark satire, and emotional drama, all competing for space on your screen. The only real challenge now is deciding what to start before spoilers take over your feed.
