An unexpected event has occurred; a Bollywood song, Nimbooda, from the movie Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, has found its way into an English textbook for 5th-grade students in Odisha. This has sparked a lively debate on how educators today might incorporate new ways of teaching into their classrooms.

The goal of this lesson is to teach children about rhythm, rhyme, and cultural expression, so this popular song was included as part of the state board’s English curriculum. Rather than presenting the song as a poetry or literature exercise, the designers of the book created an opportunity for children to sing it together in class and then continue on to language-based activities.

In this way, students will learn pronunciation, vocabulary, and confidence while having fun with English. By introducing the song in an interactive format, teachers are able to help children learn with music, thus allowing them to participate in the lesson in a fun, participatory manner.

The addition of this song to the Nimbooda textbook has been very popular since images of the textbook started to circulate on various social media platforms. This has led to many people expressing their approval of this project, as they believe that incorporating well-known music into lessons creates a more engaging atmosphere and makes it easier for young children to remember what they learned during these types of classroom activities. Others have seen this as a different way of incorporating music into an established format of education (traditional education) and using popular films to connect with children.

However, not all people agree. Some believe that film music has no place in student textbooks and that schools should be using classic literature and other original styles of educational material first. The discussion is now going on across many forums, as people are trying to figure out how educational materials can continue to evolve so they can continue to attract students while still being held to high academic standards.

Meanwhile, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam was released in 1999 and is considered one of the most famous romantic movies in the history of Bollywood. Sanjay Leela Bhansali directed this film, which starred Aishwarya Rai, Salman Khan, and Ajay Devgn, and was very well-received because of the numerous beautiful dance scenes, traditional song melodies, and high-energy choreography resulting from the song Nimbooda.

Regardless of whether Nimbooda is viewed as an innovative teaching technique or a non-conventional form of curriculum, the song will continue to draw the attention of the public. With people still discussing Nimbooda on the internet, the debate regarding how to achieve the proper balance between traditional forms of education and creative ways of educating children that appeal to present-day children continues.
