Veteran actor Paresh Rawal has finally commented on one of the popularly debated issues in Bollywood that is related to Hera Pheri 3. After a few months of having left the much-anticipated comedy sequel, the actor revealed the reasons for his exit and shared his opinion on the legal notice sent to him by the production house of Akshay Kumar worth Rs. 25 crore.

In the interview with News18, Rawal stated that the cause of his exit was neither related to any financial nor creative problems as he thought that it needed thorough strategic preparation as well as complete assurance to proceed on the iconic franchise Hera Phera.

As for the legal issue following his exit, the actor stated that he had always thought that there were no legal basis for such a notice.

Paresh Rawalpindi said, “No, it wasn’t about, ‘I’m uncomfortable working with Akshay Kumar.’ It was a contractual obligation. If I were to do the film, I needed the approval of Firoz (Nadiadwala, producer) because he is the sole owner of the Hera Pheri franchise. And also of other films like Awara Paagal Deewana, Welcome, and all of that. Until I had his approval, I simply couldn’t commit.”

The controversy arose when the actor Rawal announced his departure from Hera Pheri 3. Reports indicated that Akshay Kumar’s production company sought compensation of 25 crores from Rawal for breach of contract allegations, with reports claiming that Rawal was paid for signing the contract before leaving the production company after returning the installment with interest to legally settle the dispute.

Happily for the audience, the dispute has almost come to an end. Rawal confirmed that he has sorted out all his misunderstandings with the company, and he will be back to his beloved character Baburao Ganpatrao Apte. Additionally, he replied to the rumors about having an argument with Priyadarshan, emphasizing that he only became closer with the director through the whole situation.

In his statement regarding the production of Hera Pheri 3, Rawal announced that currently the work on the film is ongoing and it is expected to start shooting in February or March. Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal will come together once again to recreate one of Bollywood’s most favorite comedy movie franchises.
