Paytm Payments Bank has announced the appointment of Manish Kumar as its Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). Kumar brings 24 years of extensive experience across various facets of human resources, including Strategic HR, Business Partnering, COEs, Industrial Relations, and Operations. His expertise spans diverse sectors such as Retail, Manufacturing, Pharma, Banking, and NBFCs.
Before joining Paytm Payments Bank, Kumar served as Chief People Officer at UBI Services. He has held leadership roles at renowned organizations, including Poonawalla Fincorp, Ziqitza Healthcare, RBS, Dhanlaxmi Bank, IDFC Bank, Alkem Laboratories, and Reliance Capital.
An alumnus of the Xavier Institute of Social Service, Kumar holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management (HRD). His career highlights include serving as vice president of human resources at Reliance Capital from 2003 to 2006, followed by a tenure as senior vice president of human resources at Alkem Laboratories starting in November 2006.
In April 2013, Kumar joined RBS as Head of People Services and Delivery for the India region. He later became president and CHRO at Ziqitza Health Care in September 2019. In 2021, he took on the role of Group CHRO at Poonawalla Fincorp. Between August 2023 and January 2024, he briefly partnered with the Centre for Investment Education and Learning (CIEL) before moving to UBI Services as Chief People Officer in January 2024.
